Designed in collaboration with Jun Takahashi’s Tokyo-based running crew, the Gyakusou x Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% ‘University Red Blue’ showcases a brilliant shade of red on the ZoomX foam midsole, its energy-returning properties amplified by a carbon fiber spring plate. Up top, semi-translucent FlyWeave is bolstered with no-sew synthetic overlays in contrasting scarlet and navy hues. A knit collar provides a sock-like fit, while the laces are looped through side sashes that eliminate the need for an arch band. Unique branding hits include ‘Undercover Lab’ stamped on the medial saddle and ‘Gyakusou International Running Association’ printed across the lateral forefoot.
