The Bodega x Nike Dunk High ‘Friends & Family’ shares a design theme with the sneaker’s retail counterpart, one that evokes hidebound notions of craftsmanship that are exemplified by a worn baseball mitt. The Boston-based retailer expresses the nostalgic sensibility by adding moccasin-inspired rawhide stitching to the midfoot, heel and collar of the retro silhouette. Leather laces secure an upper constructed from off-white suede and leather, accented with a tortoise-shell jewel Swoosh on the lateral quarter panel and a Bodega logo on the opposite side. Aside from pairs reserved for friends and family, a limited quantity was set aside for shoppers who found a special pack of sportcards tucked into one of every 20 pairs of the retail release.
